MANUEL BOADO
SPANUSA’S PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

Founder and President of SPANUSA, has devoted his entire professional life to the identification, recruitment, training and development of professionals in both Europe and the United States.

Prior to founding SPANUSA, Manuel directed the Human Resource function of Spain's Iberia Airlines in the United States and Canada. He previously held a similar position at Clark-O'Neil Inc, a data processing company specializing in pharmaceutical sales controls, where he directed the staffing and employee relations segment of a major restructuring initiative. Manuel became involved in diversity issues early on as the leader of the corporation’s Affirmative Action Team.


 

While working in the United States, Manuel gained experience in labor relations and diversity issues. At Clark-O'Neil he successfully concluded union avoidance campaigns, and as an HR executive with the New York Health and Hospitals Corporation he coordinated the labor relations activities at two major area hospitals.

After receiving a Law degree from the Universidad de Valladolid, Manuel pursued graduate studies at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles and received an MA in Industrial Psychology from the Universidad de Madrid. Following graduation, he worked as the Recruitment Manager at a Spanish telecommunications plant of Marconi-ITT, where he introduced psychological and psychotechnic assessment tools.

Fluent in Spanish and French, Manuel has lived in Paris, London, Brussels, Madrid and Los Angeles. He has made his home in New York for over twenty years.
